These DIY Sprinkles are a great way to change up the regular rainbow ones!

Ingredients
Royal Icing Sprinkles
- 4 cups powdered sugar
- 2 T meringue powder Available at most craft stores
- 6-7 T water
- Gel food color in desired colors
- Mix-ins for sprinkles Ex. mini marshmallows, heart sprinkles, etc.
- Fondant If making shapes to add to funfetti mix

Instructions
Basic Royal Icing Sprinkles
- Whisk together powdered sugar and meringue powder, then add in water 2 T at a time, mixing after each addition. Continue adding water until desired consistency is reached. Color icing as needed. I colored mine as follows:
- Regular sprinkles: Yellow, orange, hot pink, turquoise, lilac, and lime green.
- Milk and Cookies: A bit of cocoa powder and yellow food color for cookies.
- Emojis: Yellow, black, and blue (if not using heart sprinkles for eyes, also color some icing red).
- Pipe out and decorate sprinkles, then let set for at least 8 hours or overnight.
- Optional: for fondant sprinkles to mix into funfetti sprinkles, simply roll out fondant into a thin sheet, cut out shapes using mini cookie cutters (or a straw for circle sprinkles), then let harden at room temp overnight.
Donut Sprinkles
- Dip Cheerios in chocolate, then sprinkle over mini sprinkles.
