DIY Edible Marshmallow Play Doh

If you’ve always wanted to eat play doh as a kid, now is the day!! Enjoy!

Play Doh Recipe – Makes approx. 1/4 cup play doh

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup mini marshmallows
  • Food color – liquid or gel
  • 2 tsp canola or coconut oil (olive oil will not work – it’ll turn the dough yellow)
  • 2 T cornstarch

Directions

  1. Add mini marshmallows and food color to a heatproof bowl, then microwave for 20-30 seconds or until marshmallows puff. Stir mixture to combine – it may be tough to stir, but don’t worry, it doesn’t have to be perfectly combined at this stage. Tip: Don’t use too much food color! I found it had a tendency to stiffen the dough too much for some odd reason.
  2. Mix in canola oil and cornstarch. You’ll likely have to use your hands to get it fully combined!
  3. Enjoy!!

DIY Kawaii Coffee No-Borax Slime

New to the world of slime? Here’s a super basic recipe that’s adaptable for any of your slime needs! πŸ˜€

Slime Recipe – fills one mini Starbucks cup

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup white school glue
  • Tan acrylic paint – approx. 1/4 tsp, but this is best measured by eye
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp instant coffee (optional)
  • 1 T contact lens solution (saline, not the kind for overnight contact soaking)

Directions

  1. Mix together white school glue, acrylic paint, baking soda, and instant coffee until well combined. You may add more paint to color the slime at this stage, but not after adding the contact lens solution, so get your ideal color now! πŸ˜€
  2. Mix in contact lens solution until slime pulls away from the sides of the bowl. This may not be immediate, so be sure to mix thoroughly before potentially deciding to add more to make slime less sticky.
  3. Enjoy!!
