How to Make DIY Fidget Spinners (NO BEARINGS)!

Have you been thinking “You know what, I wish there were more YouTube videos on Fidget Spinners”? If so, you’re in luck!! ? But in all seriousness, I am in LOVE with these kawaii fidget spinners! Super fun to play with and I especially like them because they have unicorns and pandas and such on them. Enjoy!!

Supply List

  • 4 bottle caps – make sure you get ones that are about 1/2″ thick (they’ll be too tiny otherwise)
  • Gold spray paint – I like the Rust-Oleum brand (optional but also kind’ve necessary to make them extra cute!)
  • Something sharp to poke a hole – I found an awl works best if you have one. Otherwise, I’ve seen people use a hammer and nail or scissors (which is slightly more dangerous – keep track those digits my friends! ?)
  • 1 plastic straw
  • 1 cake pop stick
  • 2 rhinestones
  • 3 magnets or *something else* to weight your fidget spinners
  • Hot glue
  • Air dry clay – here’s my favorite brand

How to Make Disney Tsum Tsum Lip Balm

Adorable Disney Tsum Tsum lip balms that are both super adorable AND super moisturizing! 😀

LIP BALM RECIPE

Tip: Use heatproof metal, glass, or ceramic utensils to measured and mix your lip balm for easier clean up!

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Cover lip balm containers with desired Tsum Tsums, then let air dry overnight. Paint on any final details with acrylic paint.
  2. Melt together beeswax, coconut oil, and Vitamin E oil, then stir in some lipstick to reach desired color.
  3. Pour into empty lip balm containers and let set for about 30 minutes before use!

HOW TO CLEAN OFF BEESWAX

If the beeswax gets stuck to your kitchen/measuring utensils, fear not! Use this simple hack to clean it off easily 🙂

  1. Find a pot large enough to fit all your utensils. Add water to the pot and bring to a boil.
  2. Place in your utensils ONLY IF THEY ARE HEATPROOF. For this reason, try to stick to metal utensils for measuring. Let boil for approx. 2 minutes. You should see the beeswax starting to collect on the surface of the water.
  3. Carefully remove utensils using metal tongs and place on paper towels. They will be very hot, so do not touch them immediately! Once cool enough to handle, wipe off any excess beeswax from utensils.
  4. DO NOT pour the beeswax water down the drain as it will clog the sink. Instead, pour it outside. Our backyard is just dirt which is ideal for this 🙂
  5. To clean the pot, boil water in it once again. Afterwards, pour the water outside and wipe the pot clean.
  6. Wash all utensils with soap and water to fully clean.

Instructions
Donuts
  1. Preheat oven to 350 F and grease donut pan with cooking spray.
  2. Cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Mix in eggs, one at at time, until combined. Beat in vanilla extract.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Add half of dry ingredients to wet and mix to combine. Pour in milk, then continue mixing. Fold in remaining dry ingredients by hand.
  5. Divide batter between three bowls and color as follows: teal, light blue, and purple.
  6. Load batter into a piping bag or Ziploc bag using technique shown in video, or just spoon in the different colors. Pipe batter into donut mold and bake for 15-17 minutes.
Donut Glaze
  1. Mix together powdered sugar and milk until glaze is thick but stir-able. I recommend test-dipping one donut first to see if it drips off the sides too much before dipping all donuts! It can be tricky to judge consistency just by eye.
